Edge-blending is a method whereby two or more video/data projectors
are used together, with part of their images overlapping to create
a seamless presentation on a wide screen. The term "edge blending"
relates to the fact that the overlap needs to be carefully handled
to prevent brightness discontinuities.
MP102-DVI is the worlds most power-efficient, most portable, most
easy-to-use hardware dual-channel edge blending unit with high
performance and flexibility, which provides the ability to feather
the overlapped edges of two projects' outputs to create a seamless
projected display. Outputs can be aligned horizontally. MP102-DVI's
each output handles a single channel and is placed inline between
the graphic card output and the projector. Using cascade method,
seamless displays can be extended to up to 4 channels.
Resolution up to 1920x1080 for each channel is supported in either
DVI or VGA format, which means that by using one MP102-DVI with two
1080P projectors a wide screen up to 3584x1080@60Hz (with example
256 pixel blending width) resolution. It can also support other
resolution by each configuration, for example two projectors with
1024x768, 1280x800, 1400x1050 and etc. By the advantage of flexible
hardware programmable structure, MP102-DVI can support programmable
blending width, blending curve and gamma correction. An easy to use
software and click-to-see procedure make the set-up procedure quick
and easy.
